Super Mai A Hydropower Project

Super Mai A Hydropower Project in situated in Illam District, Mechi Zone of Eastern Development Region of Nepal. It is 550 km away from Kathmandu by road. The project utilizes water from the Kumbhakarna Range, which form the Mai river. The headwork is situated at Sulbung VDC, Illam. The powerhouse is located at Gangate Faat, Sumbek VDC, Illam. It is a run-of-river type of project with an installed capacity of 9.9 MW.
